DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT THIS MORNING

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 9 AM CDT this morning.

ADDED COUNTIES: Clay, Jefferson, Randolph, Shelby, Talladega

COUNTIES ALREADY IN ADVISORY: Autauga, Barbour, Bibb, Bullock, Chambers, Chilton, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Greene, Hale, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Montgomery, Perry, Pickens, Pike, Russell, Sumter, Tallapoosa, Tuscaloosa

* VISIBILITY…will drop to one quarter of a mile or less at times this morning.

* IMPACTS…of the low visibilities could make travel hazardous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
