We have been watching with concern and fear tonight for our friends in South Central Kansas in the path of tornadic storms…

A tornado is still on the ground near Hudson in Stafford County, Kansas or 16 miles south southeast of Great Bend. It is confirmed to be a large and dangerous tornado on the ground.

A skywatcher for KSN reported a one half mile wide damage path near St. John.

A KSN Wichita reporter in Greensburg, Kansas reports there is nothing left in downtown Greensburg in Kiowa County.

Macksville was also hit.

Here is a link to a news story from KOTV in Tulsa with a dramatic photo from one of their Skywatchers who captured an image of the tornado near Greensburg. It is clearly a large wedge tornado. Thanks to David Brown for pointing out this site.
