Areal Flood Advisory Issued For Parts Of Tuscaloosa & Hale Counties Until 4:00 PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
South central Tuscaloosa County in west central Alabama…
Northeastern Hale County in west central Alabama…

Until 400 PM CDT.

At 152 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms moving across the area. Localized totals of one to two inches have fallen in the area…and another inch or so is possible during the next hour. This will cause localized flooding of roadways in the area…especially near small creeks and streams or in low-lying areas prone to flooding.

Some locations that will experience flooding include… Greensboro, Moundville, Shelton State Community College, Englewood, Little Sandy, Maxwell, Moundville Airport, Phipps, Hull, Hagler, Mound State Park, Duncanville, Pearson, Elliots Creek, Harper Hill, Wateroak, Havana and Taylorville.
