The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Poor Drainage Areas for…
Central Tuscaloosa County in west central Alabama…

Until 415 PM CDT.

At 211 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms was spreading south across the area. Around an inch of rain has fallen in localized areas…and additional localized amounts of one to two inches is possible during the next hour as the storms move across the area. This will cause localized flooding of some streets and roadways in the area, especially near small creeks and streams and in low-lying flood prone areas with poor drainage.
