The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
    North central Chilton County in central Alabama…
    Southwestern Shelby County in central Alabama…

* Until 415 PM CDT.

* At 215 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain in over an inch and a half of rainfall due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
    Alabaster, Pelham, Helena, Calera, Montevallo, American Village, Maylene, Shelby County Airport, Minooka Park, Joe Tucker Park, Camp
    Branch, Saddle Lake Farms, Siluria, Alabaster Veterans Park and
    Saginaw.
