Still Raining at Midday

in most areas of the state, that is. However, over about the north 25% of the state, most of the rain has ended. This includes most areas north of the Tuscaloosa, Birmingham and Ft. Payne line.

Rain continues extensive down state with heavy rain indicated over South Mobile County and most of Baldwin County, including Gulf Shores to Pensacola. Many communities down there have received 2 to 3 inches of rain just in the last 24 hours. Even though the rain has tapered off or ended over the extreme north, satellite photoraphs show that you have to go all the way up to about Little Rock and Paducah, Kentucky to see much sunshine.

Here in Central Alabama, it will be clearing tonight paving the way for some patchy dense fog later tonight and tomorrow morning. We expect mostly sunshine for Tuesday with pleasant temperatures in the mid 70s for highs.
