Getting set for a wild day tomorrow… here are a few notes that might be helpful for our “blog family”

TWITTER: This is really a wonderful resource and a way to communicate. If you have a Twitter account, please add the tag “#alwx” to make it easier to find them. Or, if you have a report from Mississippi, “#mswx”, etc. I have search boxes set up in Tweetdeck so those reports are easy to see as they come in. If you are new to Twitter, sign up for a free account, and begin to “follow” people or organizations you are interested in. Here are some of our account IDs you can follow:

James Spann: spann
Jason Simpson: simpson3340
Ashley Brand: ashleyb3340
ABC 33/40 News: abc3340
Alabama watches and warnings: ewarn

If you are new, I also suggest using an application like Twhirl or Tweetdeck for ease of use.

LIVE STREAM: Note we have our live stream on the blog in the upper left corner at all times. Our Storm Alert radar is there normally, but in the event we go into “wall to wall” tornado coverage, it will be there. Of course, you can make the video full screen if you want. We will add streams from Storm Chaser 33/40 and other news vehicles when active.

TROLLS: Seems like the haters, the trolls, and the know-it-alls from the snow events are trying to show up during tornado threats. We won’t tolerate mis-information or those that make personal attacks or are general troublemakers during these times. Lets be nice… like 99 percent of our readers are.

Stay tuned for updates on this unfolding event…
