Morning Notes

Brian Peters is on vacation this weekend…. so here are a few quick forecast notes.

TODAY: Morning clouds will give way to afternoon sunshine. The high will be in the 67 to 70 degree range for most places; tonight will be clear and cool.

EASTER SUNDAY: Clouds will increase during the day, but the day should be dry with a high up in the mid 70s.

TOMORROW NIGHT AND MONDAY: SPC has all of Alabama in a severe weather risk Monday. Looks like a thunderstorm complex will move into the state late tomorrow night, perhaps in the midnight to 6:00 a.m. time frame. WIth this batch of storms, there will be some risk of large hail, strong winds, and heavy rain.

On Monday, the storms will move out of the state during the early morning hours. Then, the sun should break out for a while during the midday hours, and one more additional round of storms is likely Monday afternoon and into the evening hours. If the airmass can recover from the morning storms, then more severe weather is possible. We will fine tune this risk over the weekend.

REST OF THE WEEK: The sky becomes mostly sunny on Tuesday, and it now looks like we can remove the chance of showers and storms on Thursday and Friday as a blocking pattern develops over North America and the active storm pattern settles down a bit.

Have a great Saturday… about to head out to the ole ball park for a morning game with the 11/12 year old team I coach.
