Areal Flood Advisory Issued For Parts Of Lee County Until 7:30PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
    Northwestern Lee County in east central Alabama…

* Until 730 PM CDT.

* At 523 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Just over one and a quater of an inch of rain have fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
    Auburn, Opelika, Auburn University, Loachapoka, Robert G. Pitts
    Airport, Chewacla State Park and Mount Jefferson.
