Devastating Storm Surge Flooding Will Accompany Hurricane Michael

Here is the NHC Potential Storm Surge Flooding Map showing inundation above normally dry ground.

As you can see, widespread 9-12 foot inundation is expected from Indian Pass to Homosassa Springs. This includes places like:

…St. George Island
…Eastpoint
…Carabelle
…Alligator Point
…St. Marks
…Sopchoppy
…Fish Creek
…Steinhatchee
…Suwanee
…Cedar Key
…Homosassa

Areas from Destin to Indian Pass (South of Panama City) will run as high as 6-9 feet.
