Areal Flood Advisory Issued For Parts Of Barbour, Bullock, And Pike Counties Until 9:30PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Advisory for Minor Flooding in Poor Drainage Areas for…
    Pike County in southeastern Alabama…
    Bullock County in southeastern Alabama…
    Barbour County in southeastern Alabama…

* Until 930 PM CDT.

* At 632 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate to heavy rain bands in association with Hurricane Michael continued to spread across the area. Anywhere from two and a half to four inches have already fallen in some areas. Additional rainfall during the next couple of hours may cause some cause minor flooding of streets and roadways in the area…especially near small creeks and streams or in low lying flood prone areas with poor drainage.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
    Troy, Eufaula, Union Springs, Brundidge, Clio, Midway, Clayton, Louisville, Banks, Tyler Crossroads, Pickett, Beans Crossroads, Guerryton, Shopton, Richards Crossroads, White Oak, Doster, Gaino, Comer and Barbour County Public Lake Dam.
