The Lonely Midnight Hour

Seems like the whole world is asleep except me. Even Little Miss Molly is curled up in a tight circle and dreaming of chasing little rabbits and the CR (Community Cat)

Even the thunderstorms are trying to take a nap.

But not all of them.

A line of moderate to heavy showers (and a limited amount of lightning and thunder continues late tonight in a north to south line from near Huntsville to west of Birmingham to near Centreville and Demopolis

The line of moderate to heavy showers was taking its time headed east. These showers should cross the Birmingham area between now and 2 am. No severe storms involved.

Heaviest showers were along the Tuscaloosa/Bibb County line midway between Tuscaloosa and Centreville.

Slow is the movement because the “cold” front escorting the showers is not getting pulled over for speeding. That front should bring us sunshine later Tuesday and then we have several dry comfortable days in a row.

This will let us all accumulate some shut-eye. It has been a long two days but i would not want to do anything else vocationally.

Just in case, if the storms grow stronger again, my Midland weather radio will jump off my desk and awaken every living soul in the house. I will jump straight up, salute and dash into my weather office trying not step on Little Miss Molly who will be speeding to one of her several places of safety.

Life goes on, sleep or no sleep.
