The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Advisory for Minor Flooding in Poor Drainage Areas for…
    Randolph County in east central Alabama…
    Calhoun County in east central Alabama…
    Tallapoosa County in east central Alabama…
    Chambers County in east central Alabama…
    Cleburne County in east central Alabama…
    Clay County in east central Alabama…

* Until 630 PM CST.

* At 433 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated light to moderate rain that will cause minor flooding. The rain intensity and coverage should increase again through the early evening hours. Rain amounts since last night are generally 2 to 3 inches. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
    Anniston, Oxford, Alexander City, Jacksonville, Valley, Lanett, Roanoke, Piedmont, Heflin, Dadeville, Lineville, Ashland, Camp
    Hill, Wedowee, Cobb Town, Fort McClellan, Saks, West End-Cobb Town, Stroud and Lake Wedowee.
