Clearing Skies And Quite Breezy At Midday

| April 26, 2019 @ 11:38 am

Skies have cleared out for the most part across Central Alabama as we are approaching the midday hour on this final Friday of April. We still have a few stubborn clouds over the eastern and southeastern locations, but a decent bit of sun is making it through those clouds as well. One thing you will notice is the gusty winds outside, averaging around 15-20 MPH out of the northwest. Temperatures are in the mid-60s to the lower 70s across the area.

Skies will continue to clear out throughout the rest of the afternoon and into the early evening hours. Winds will begin to decrease as we get closer to sunset and will be down to around 2-4 MPH just before midnight. Highs will top out in the lower to mid-70s with overnight lows dropping into the mid-40s to the lower 50s.

Saturday will be a beautiful and warm day across Central Alabama and especially at Talladega Superspeedway for the events that take place there on tomorrow. Skies will be sunny with afternoon highs ranging in the upper 70s to the lower 80s across the area. On Sunday, a weak surface front may bring a very small chance of a passing shower to the northern half of Central Alabama during the early part of the day, but the latest NAM has backed off of any moisture. There will be a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the upper 70s to the lower 80s.
