Loud Thunderstorms in the Birmingham Metro, But They’re Not Severe

| May 2, 2019 @ 3:56 am

Strong storms are moving through the Birmingham Metro at this early hour.

They are mostly over southern parts of the Metro, including Vestavia, Hoover and Meadowbrook.

They have lots of lightning, loud thunder and heavy rain, but they are not severe.

They are the only storms in the state now, and they are moving north northwest at 10 mph.

Heavy showers are over northern Jefferson County in the Kimberly and Morris area. They may develop lightning shortly as well.
