Tornado Watch Issued To Our South & Southwest

| May 9, 2019 @ 12:10 pm

A Tornado Watch has been issued for portions of eastern Louisiana, southern Mississippi, and southwestern Alabama until 6:00 pm tonight. Those Alabama counties include Choctaw, Mobile, and Washington counties.

Threats will be from damaging winds up to 70 MPH, ping pong ball-size hail, and a few tornadoes.

Back across our part of the area, SPC has just released a mesoscale discussion stating with locally damaging winds remaining possible over the next couple of hours across the northern and central Alabama vicinity, a watch may be issued for parts of the area.
