Thanks to Pete Evans for these images… he writes:

“Conspiracy Nut here… aka Pete in N. GA.

Thanks James for all the efforts to keep the awesome 33/40 weather blog going!

I grew up and weather watched on Sand Mountain — today, I’m due east by 100 plus miles in rural Cherokee Co. Georgia – so the 33/40 blog is meaningful and checked often.

And thanks for having topics not always wx related. Always interesting.

Case in point – A Tale of Contrails

I honestly do not know what these anomalies are, but I do know I have photographed + something + hanging around them. That’s why I suggested/challenged the photo assignment in my response – but my submission never posted.

Hey that’s cool — I know it is a bit “out there” — I expect most of your blog readers/responders would 1. pooh-pooh any results,… while most likely… 2. being WAY too un-motivated to even do the photo assignment.

Attached find some quick jpgs of a couple of “whatevers” that happen around these trails. These are two examples from my backyard from hundreds of images I have.

Keep up the great work.”
