Early Evening in Alabama

A low pressure area over the north Gulf of Mexico continues to spin a lot of moist air northward into Alabama.

A band of moderate to heavy showers extended all the across Alabama’s southernmost row of counties–in places like Brewton, Andalusia, Geneva and Dothan. (Just to name a few)

Movement toward the NW

Another band of showers, light to moderate was all the way across Central Alabama. Also moving north.

There were only a few showers over the north third of the state.

The heaviest rain in Alabama through the weekend and into early next week should be over the south and SW part of the state. Some areas near the coast subject to possibly 2 to 4 inches of rain by early next week.
