Tornado Number 58 For The State Occurred On Thursday

Late Thursday afternoon, a brief spin-up EF0 tornado touched down in Dallas County causing some roof and shingle damage to a house in Potter Station just west-northwest of Selma. This now brings the official count across the state for 2019 up to 58 confirmed tornadoes. Here is the latest info:

NWS Storm Survey Team confirms a short track EF0 Tornado in Dallas County on County Road 214, with winds of 75 MPH. Details will follow later.

Local Storm Report by NWS BMX: 2 WNW Potter Station [Dallas Co, AL] emergency mngr reports TORNADO at 04:07 PM CDT — a rotating shower apparently produced a tornado 6 miles wnw of selma. the tornado was spotted by a few people on the ground along cr 214 north of us 80. several trees were snapped off, numerous branches were downed, and one home suffered roof and shingle damage.
