Areal Flood Advisory Issued For Parts Of Pike County Until 6:30PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Advisory for Minor Flooding in Poor Drainage Areas for…
    Pike County in southeastern Alabama…

* Until 630 PM CDT.

* At 327 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow moving thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain with locally higher amounts have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
    Troy, Brundidge, Goshen, Banks, Antioch, Linwood, Ansley, Troy
    Municipal Airport, Troy University, Monticello, Orion, Josie, Sandfield, Brundidge Municipal Airport, Mossy Grove and Henderson.
