Alabama 811 | Know What's Below.

Mainly Sunny Saturday

| June 15, 2019 @ 12:44 pm

It certainly was another very nice morning across Central Alabama as very comfortable conditions lingered, but unfortunately those are beginning to change as our winds have switched out of the south and that means moisture levels are on the rise. We are seeing a few more clouds in the sky today but we should stay dry as the lower levels of the atmosphere will take some time to moisten up.

Temperatures have made their way into the upper 80s and lower 90s across the state this afternoon.

Tonight will feature increasing clouds, and it will not be as cool or comfortable as more muggy conditions settle into the area; most locations will see lows around 70 degrees.

FOR SUNDAY: Expect higher humidity levels for tomorrow and the sky will be partly sunny. With more moisture around, we will bring back the chance of widely scattered showers and thunderstorms by the afternoon and these will last into the evening hours. Highs tomorrow will range from the upper 80s to lower 90s across the state again.

TROPICAL UPDATE: For the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico, tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next five days.
