Harpersville Citizens To Receive Free Weather Radios

The town of Harpersville will be issuing free weather alert radios to the citizens of the Town of Harpersville. Radios will be programmed by the Harpersville Fire Department for severe weather events issued by the National Weather Service. Citizens must provide a copy of their Harpersville water bill as a proof of residence. Radios are available at the Harpersville Fire Department during normal business hours.

The Town of Harpersville, in association with Shelby County EMA, will host a weather radio programming event at the Harpersville Community Center on Friday, June 21st, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. With a proof of residence, Harpersville citizens will have the opportunity to receive a free radio at this event. For non-Harpersville residents, please bring your weather radio and take advantage of this free programming service. Please contact 205-672-9961 for more information.
