Huntsville-Hytop Radar Is Down Due To Parts Failure

…Hytop AL radar offline…

The WSR-88D Doppler radar located near Hytop, Alabama, will remain offline until further notice. A replacement part is needed to restore the radar transmitter to service. We hope to replace the part and return to service as soon as possible. It is anticipated that this will happen in the next several days but no timetable has been confirmed yet.

We apologize for any inconvenience this outage may cause.
