Severe T-Storm Watch Issued For Southern Portions Of Central Alabama Until 9:00 Tonight

NWS Birmingham has issued a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH for a large part of the southern half of Central Alabama until 9:00 pm tonight. The counties included in this watch are Autauga, Barbour, Bullock, Chambers, Chilton, Clay, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Montgomery, Perry, Pike, Randolph, Russell, and Tallapoosa.

Damaging wind gusts up to 70 MPH and large hail up to ping pong size with any severe storms that develop during the watch period.
