Rain & Clouds Continue To Hang Tough Over The Eastern Half At Midday

| November 15, 2019 @ 1:07 pm

Showers continue to fall over the eastern half of the area as we approach 1 o’clock on this Friday afternoon. Much of the activity is east of the I-65 corridor, but a few very light showers or drizzle is falling just west of the corridor. If your location is along and just east of the AL/MS state line, you are enjoying plenty of sunshine at this point.

Temperatures are ranging from the lower 40s to the upper 50s across the area. Birmingham was at 47 degrees with cloudy skies and a light drizzle. The warm spot was Demopolis with plenty of sunshine at 59 degrees. Talladega was the cold spot at 42 degrees with showers falling.

Unfortunately for the eastern and southeastern parts of the area, it looks like these showers may hang around until the late-night hours and will finally push out of the area by or just after midnight. Conditions will slowly continue to improve for the western half of Central Alabama as skies will be clearing. Afternoon highs will be in the mid-40s to the upper 50s across the area. Temperatures for the high school football games will start off in the lower to mid-40s and drop into the mid-30s to the mid-40s by the final whistle.
