Areal Flood Warning: Parts Of Madison County Until 6:45 AM

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Flood Warning for…
Southwestern Madison County in north-central Alabama…

* Until 645 AM CST.

* At 1247 AM CST, reporting gauges indicate Indian Creek has risen
into minor flood stage. Two to three inches of rain has already
fallen over the past couple of hours, with additional light
rainfall possible over the next 3 to 6 hours. Water levels should
crest in the next couple of hours and then fall back below flood
stage later this morning.

* Some additional locations that will experience minor flooding
include…Western Huntsville, Madison, Redstone Arsenal, Triana,
Huntsville International Airport and Harvest.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
