Wind Advisory Also Issued For North Alabama For Much Of Saturday

NWS Huntsville has issued a Wind Advisory for all of the counties in their county warning area for Saturday from 12:00 am to 9:00 pm. Those counties are Colbert, Cullman, DeKalb, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, Morgan.

Here is the text of the advisory from NWS Huntsville:

…WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT FRIDAY NIGHT TO 9 PM CST SATURDAY…

* WHAT…South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph expected.

* WHERE…Portions of north central, northeast and northwest Alabama and southern middle Tennessee.

* WHEN…From 12 AM CST Saturday to 9 PM CST Saturday.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
