The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Flood Warning for…
Lauderdale County in northwestern Alabama…
Colbert County in northwestern Alabama…
Franklin County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 345 PM CST Saturday.

* At 938 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain which will cause flooding. Up to one inch of rain has
already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Florence, Muscle Shoals, Russellville, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Red
Bay, Phil Campbell, Killen, Cherokee and Littleville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
