Strong Storms Affecting Parts Of Bibb, Jefferson, & Shelby Counties

…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR CENTRAL SHELBY…NORTHEASTERN
BIBB AND SOUTHEASTERN JEFFERSON COUNTIES UNTIL 330 PM CST…

At 247 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Tannehill Ironworks State Park, or 9 miles northwest of Montevallo,
moving northeast at 55 mph.

Dime size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include…
Eastern Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Alabaster, Bessemer,
Homewood, Pelham, Mountain Brook, Trussville, Helena, Irondale,
Leeds, Chelsea, Center Point, Indian Springs Village, Shops of Grand
River, Five Points South, Oak Mountain State Park, Vandiver and
Cahaba Heights.
