Heads Up For Those In Lamar & Extreme Northwestern Pickens Counties

| February 5, 2020 @ 5:50 pm

A Tornado Warned storm is currently located just to the east of Starkville, Mississippi and is moving to the northeast at 50 MPH. It will probably take the cell around 30-40 minutes before crossing over the state line into the western parts of Lamar and the extreme northwestern parts of Pickens County.

If it stays on its current path, it will just go north of Macedonia, but Millport, Kennedy, and possibly Vernon will be in the path.

Act now… especially if you are in a mobile or manufactured home. A warning has not been issued but it is better to be safe than sorry in this situation.
