Areal Flood Advisory For Parts Of Chambers, Clay, Randolph Counties Until 8:00 PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Advisory for…
Randolph County in east central Alabama…
Northwestern Chambers County in east central Alabama…
Clay County in east central Alabama…

* Until 800 PM CST.

* At 301 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
some flooding in the advisory area. Conditions could worsen if
heavy rain moves into these areas over the next few hours. Stay
weather aware and be ready to take action.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Roanoke, Lineville, Ashland, Wedowee, Lake Wedowee, Wadley,
Woodland, Malone, Morrison Cross Roads, Barfield, Abanda, Welch,
Corinth, Fosters Cross Roads, Delta, Crystal Lake, Sparkling
Springs, Standing Rock, Graham and Cleveland Crossroads.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
