The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Advisory for…
Coosa County in east central Alabama…

* Until 745 PM CST.

* At 339 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
minor flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Goodwater, Rockford, Kellyton, Weogufka, Equality, Stewartville,
Hanover, Lyle, Pentonville, Dollar, Bradford, Cottage Grove,
Strickland Crossroads, Bentleyville, Marble Valley, Moriah,
Hatchet, Nixburg, Speed and Lay Lake Dam.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
