EXPIRED – Severe T-Storm Warning For Parts Of Colbert & Lauderdale Counties Until 6:00 PM

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
South central Lauderdale County in northwestern Alabama…
Southwestern Colbert County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 600 PM CDT.

* At 524 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Midway, or
near Tishomingo State Park, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Cherokee, Malone, Posey Loop, Mt Hester,
Srygley Church, New Bethel, Maud and Allsboro.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for northwestern
Alabama.

Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground
lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately.
Lightning is one of nature’s leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
