New Tornado Watch Issued Until 6:00 AM, Includes Pike & Barbour Counties

| April 19, 2020 @ 10:13 pm

While the overall risk for strong to severe storms is rather small across the southern parts of Central Alabama, a new Tornado Watch has been issued for Southeast Alabama which will include Pike and Barbour counties in South Alabama.

This watch is set to expire at 6:00 am Monday morning, but Pike and Barbour counties will most likely be canceled well before that expiration time.

This will put all of the counties in South Alabama under a Tornado Watch, with the southwestern counties set to expire at 4:00 am. No other counties in Central Alabama, other than Pike and Barbour Counties, are under a Tornado Watch.
