Late Night Look at Alabama Weather

| July 26, 2009 @ 11:45 pm | 4 Replies

Showers were beginning to increase across North Central Mississippi over into Central Alabama late tonight.

Showers and storms were increasing across eastern Tiscaloosa and western Jefferson Counties, extending up into Cullman County.

A pretty good cell had formed west of downtown Birmingham, moving ESE toward downtown and eastern sections of the city.

I can already hear distant thunder here in Turssville.

Activity should increase over the next few hours with a chance of showers and storms continuing through the morning hours.

No significant severe weather is expected, but can’t rule out a warning or two. And watch out for the lightning.
