Strong Storms Affecting Portions of Lee, Tallapoosa, & Chambers Counties

…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR LEE…TALLAPOOSA AND CHAMBERS COUNTIES UNTIL 145 PM CDT…

At 100 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of storms along a line extending from 6 miles north of Liberty City to near Beauregard to near Ladonia. Movement was northeast at 35 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include…
Auburn, Opelika, Alexander City, Valley, Lanett, Dadeville, Camp Hill, Smiths, Stroud, Lafayette, Smiths Station, La Fayette, Jacksons’ Gap, New Site, Waverly, Lakeview, Cusseta, Goldville, Beulah and Sturkie.
