…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHEASTERN SHELBY AND
SOUTHEASTERN JEFFERSON COUNTIES UNTIL 315 PM CDT…

At 247 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Greystone, or near Leeds, moving northeast at 45 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include…
Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Leeds, Chelsea, Indian Springs Village,
Highland Lakes, Fowler Lake, Vandiver, The Summit, Lake Purdy, Brook
Highland, Greystone, Meadowbrook, Mount Laurel, Cahaba Heights, Oak
Mountain State Park, Grants Mill Road Bridge, Sterrett, Hoover
Veterans Park and Shoal Creek.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
