Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Parts of Jackson, Marshall, and DeKalb Counties Until 5:45 p.m.; 60 mph Winds Reported

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southwestern Jackson County in northeastern Alabama...
  Northeastern Marshall County in northeastern Alabama...
  West central DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama...

* Until 545 PM CDT.

* At 510 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southeast
  of Grant, or 8 miles northeast of Guntersville, moving northeast at
  40 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Emergency management. At around 5 PM 60 mph winds were
           reported on the northwest side of Guntersville Lake.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Albertville, Scottsboro, Boaz, Guntersville, Rainsville, Sylvania,
  Fyffe, Powell, Grant and Geraldine.
