Showers Increasing Over North, Southwest Alabama

| June 28, 2020 @ 1:10 pm

Showers are increasing over North Alabama and storms over Southwest Alabama this afternoon.

The northern activity is associated with upper-level energy passing down the eastern side of a weak ridge of high pressure that is centered over Alabama.

The southern activity is associated with the seabreeze.

The showers will grow into scattered storms over North Alabama.

Storms should be isolated elsewhere.

Temperatures are in the middle and upper 80s over the northern and Central parts of the state. 90s are already common over South Alabama.

The activity will dissipate shortly after sundown.
