A Little Foggy in Spots

| August 1, 2009 @ 6:12 am | Reply

A few spots are reporting patchy dense fog across Central Alabama this morning.

Visibility was 1/4 mile at the Gadsden Airport, 1 3/4 miles at Anniston and 2 1/2 miles at the Shelby County Airport.

A quick review of the Skycams shows that Gadsden and Cheaha are socked in. Birmingham and Inverness show a decent amount of fog as well.

The boundary that drifted into Central Alabama is expected to edge back northward today, providing a focus for more showers and storms through Sunday. The activity will be aided by passing upper level disturbances.
