THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
ALABAMA
EASTERN MISSISSIPPI

* EFFECTIVE THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 1210 PM UNTIL
700 PM CDT.

* PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE…
SCATTERED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH LIKELY
ISOLATED LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE
A TORNADO OR TWO POSSIBLE

SUMMARY…ONGOING STORMS ACROSS NORTHERN ALABAMA/NORTHEAST
MISSISSIPPI WILL CONTINUE TO ORGANIZE AS THE PROGRESS/ACCELERATE
SOUTHEASTWARD ACROSS ALABAMA AND EASTERN MISSISSIPPI THIS AFTERNOON.
DAMAGING WINDS ARE THE PRIMARY SEVERE CONCERN.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 85
STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 45 MILES NORTHWEST OF
BIRMINGHAM AL TO 25 MILES SOUTHWEST OF MONTGOMERY AL. FOR A COMPLETE
