The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a

* Flood Warning for…
East Central Colbert County in northwestern Alabama…
Central Lauderdale County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 900 PM CDT.

* At 744 PM CDT, Run off from previous rainfall is resulting in
areal flooding in the warned area. This run off is occurring from
2 and 4 inches of rain that fell across the region earlier this
afternoon.

Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Killen, St.
Florian, Underwood-Petersville, Northwest Alabama Regional Airport
and Ford City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
