Strong Storms Currently Affecting Lamar & Fayette Counties

…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHERN FAYETTE AND LAMAR COUNTIES UNTIL 445 PM CDT…

At 403 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of slow-moving thunderstorms from Fayette to Millport.

These thunderstorms are producing locally heavy rainfall.

Locations impacted include…
Winfield, Fayette, Vernon, Sulligent, Millport, Glen Allen, Kennedy, Belk, Gu-Win, Bluff, Blooming Grove, Lamar County Airport, Crews, Bedford, Cody, Wayside, Richard Arthur Field, Star, Hightogy, and Bazemore.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Very heavy rainfall is occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
