The Rest of the Storms

| September 14, 2020 @ 4:06 pm

We tied a record today with five named systems in the Atlantic and six in both the eastern Pacific and Atlantic.

The five in the Atlantic tied a record set back between September 11-14 in 1971.

Now there are four as Tropical Depression Reene has dissipated and the NHC has written the last advisory on it.

Teddy is strengthening over the Atlantic about 800 miles east of the Lesser Antilles and is expected to become a hurricane tomorrow.

Paulette strengthened some as it moved away from Bermuda today.

Vicky is expected to weaken overnight.

And of course, we are dealing with Sally in the Gulf of Mexico.

We only have Wilfred left in the 2020 storm names list. Then we go to the Greek alphabet like 2005.
