Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey Calls for Patience in Hurricane Sally Recovery and Restoration

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey asked those affected by Hurricane Sally to show patience as crews work to restore power, clear roadways, and rebuild infrastructure ravaged by the storm.

At a public briefing Thursday morning, the governor joined other state officials in calling for caution as dangers still persist, including flooding expected in parts of the state.

“I know yesterday was very hard for a lot of folks in the cities and counties along the coast and throughout many other communities in our state,” Ivey said. “Sixteen years ago to the day when Hurricane Ivan hit our state, Hurricane Sally provided an unwanted sequel.”
