Alabama Update at 2:30 p.m.: A Beautiful September Sunday for Most
It is a beautiful day over the northern two-thirds of the state of Alabama with a good supply of sunshine, mild temperatures, and a nice easterly breeze.
Clouds are thick over South Alabama, with showers over southwestern Alabama and near the Florida border.
Those clouds are creeping northward but skies should remain sunny over the northern half of the state.
Highs this afternoon will be in the upper 70s in most locations where there is sunshine.
Lows tonight will be in the middle and upper 50s.
