Eye of Zeta Now Visible on Radar

The eye of Hurricane Zeta is now visible on coastal radars.

The center of the hurricane is 195 miles south-southwest of New Orleans and about 140 miles south-southwest of the coastline near Grand Isle.

The center should cross the coast around 5 p.m. this afternoon near or just west of Grand Isle, pass over New Orleans, and then move over the Mississippi Coast. It will move into Southwest Alabama by 10 p.m. and be between Marion and Selma just after midnight. It should be out of the state by 5 a.m.
