Strong Storms Affecting Randolph, Chambers, & Cleburne Counties

…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR RANDOLPH…NORTHERN CHAMBERS AND
CLEBURNE COUNTIES UNTIL 330 AM CST…

At 243 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles west of Mars Hills to near Hillabee
Creek. Movement was east at 50 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include…
Roanoke, Heflin, Wedowee, Lake Wedowee, Stroud, Wadley, Ranburne,
Fruithurst, Edwardsville, Woodland, Malone, Post Oak Forks, Morrison
Cross Roads, Abanda, Standing Rock, Welch, Trammel Crossroads,
Corinth, Muscadine and Abernathy.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
