EXPIRED Tornado Warning for St. Clair County Until 11:30 pm

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Tornado Warning for…
Northwestern St. Clair County in central Alabama…

* Until 1130 PM CST.

* At 1049 PM CST, a tornado producing storm was located over Center
Point, or near Gardendale, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD…Damaging tornado.

SOURCE…Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include…
Springville, Margaret, Argo, Ashville, Whitney Junction, St. Clair
Springs, Caldwell, Horse Pens Forty and I 59 Rest Areas At Oneonta.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.
