Strong Storms Affecting Parts of Walker, Tuscaloosa, & Jefferson Counties

…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHEASTERN WALKER…CENTRAL
TUSCALOOSA AND JEFFERSON COUNTIES UNTIL 930 AM CDT…

At 845 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles southwest of Gorgas to near Deerlick
Creek Campgrounds to near Shelton State Community College. Movement
was northeast at 50 mph.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include…
Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Bessemer, Homewood, Northport, Hueytown,
Gardendale, Fairfield, Fultondale, Sumiton, Cordova, Dora, Holt,
Pleasant Grove, Tarrant, Midfield, Adamsville, Warrior, Brighton and
Kimberly.
